Description

High-altitude Cordyceps sinensis, hand-collected at 4,500–5,500m with a batch quality passport and GPS coordinates. One whole mushroom per serving; 30 mushrooms = a 30-day course. Repeat after six months for sustained effect.

Benefits

Cellular energy and endurance. Adenosine and other nucleosides found in cordyceps take part in the natural processes of energy metabolism. Cordyceps is traditionally used as a natural adaptogen to support vitality, endurance and recovery during periods of increased physical and mental strain.

Immune support. The polysaccharides and beta-glucans in cordyceps are traditionally associated with support for the body's natural defensive response and the normal functioning of the immune system.

Antioxidant support. Cordyceps contains natural antioxidant compounds that are traditionally valued for supporting cells in their protection against oxidative stress.

Vitality and adaptation. In Eastern practices, cordyceps has been used for centuries as a general tonic to support the body's overall tone, male and female vital energy, as well as gentle adaptation during periods of age-related change.

Traditional use. In traditional Eastern medicine, whole cordyceps is used as part of the diet for general support of the body, including during periods of increased strain and recovery. This is a natural product, not a medicine; in case of illness, it may be taken only after consulting a doctor.

  • Cochrane systematic reviewCochrane Database of Systematic Reviews 2014, Issue 12. Art. No.: CD008353

Wild-harvested vs Lab-grown

WILD-HARVESTED

Collected in the wild. Biochemistry varies with season and place – that is the advantage and the constraint.

LAB-GROWN

Mycelium-on-grain or other lab cultivation. Predictable profile, lower cost. Narrower biochemical spectrum – missing terpenes that the wild type develops at altitude.
